Here’s something worth knowing - without the panic.

While winter may be over, respiratory viruses like influenza are still circulating later than usual this year. December 2025 isn’t showing record hospitalisations — but flu activity is higher than we normally see at this time of year, especially with more travel, gatherings and mixing.

The good news?

There are simple, effective ways to protect yourself and your family:

• Make sure your flu vaccination is up to date
• Think about protection if you’re travelling overseas, pregnant, or visiting newborns or older relatives
• Use the basics that work - ventilation, hand hygiene, and wiping high-touch surfaces

This isn’t about fear - it’s about keeping your summer plans intact.
